Q&A

What are Bioplastics?

Bioplastic is plastic that is made partly or wholly from materials derived from biological soures, such as cellulose from plant and straw.

What are the advantages of bioplastic products?

Bio-based plastics are made from renewable sources instead of oil and that way gradually substitute fossil resources used to produce plastics with renewable resources (such as plant fiber).Bio-based plastics also can reduce GHG emissions or even be carbon neutral.

With bio-based plastics and biodegradable plastics.which is better?

It depends on how it is used. Biodegradable is perfect for straws and other single-use item such as cutlery and nursery etc. But when it comes to durable goods like container boxes or garden tools, it will be more suitable for using biocomposite.

Bioplastics products be recycle?

Biocomposite products can be recycled in the conventional plastics recycle system.so new facilities or equipment are not necessary to process them.Biodegradable products like pots can be returned to nature via composting.

Biodegradable vs. compostable:

What’s the difference?

It is very normal to get confused about the difference between compostable and biodegradable materials. While all compostable products are biodegradable, not all biodegradable products are compostable.

Compostable products are made by organic elements or plants that are able to degrade with time. For example, corn starch and others. Compostable products produce humus, upon degradation, which is the richest and most important part of all soils. Compostable products need a specific compostable environment to degrade which includes warm temperatures, nutrients, moisture and plenty of oxygen.

Biodegradable is mainly used in plastics, they break down faster than regular plastic, in any conditions (compost, landfill, soil).

The main differences between these materials are that biodegradable products could be referring to any material which breaks down and degrades in the environment, whereas compostable products are only organic elements that degrade in the environment.

How long does it take your biodegrable products to break down?

About 3 months to 5 years. We can change the concentration of materiel's formulation according to which kind of product you want to be used.

How are Pioneera Planters Made?

Pioneera pots are made from rice hulls and natural binding agents, which are starch-based, water-soluble, and bio-degradable. No pollutants are used or produced at any stage of the manufacturing process. And, because all scraps are recycled in the production process, no materials are wasted. Only a small amount of water is used in the binding formula, and the organic pigments are environmentally friendly. Heat and pressure bind the ingredients to produce EcoForms pots.

Are Pioneera Pots Biodegradable?

Yes,Pioneera planters are biodegradable but they will keep their shape and clean surface until the end of their functional life. Only after they have been discarded into a municipal compost or landfill facility will decomposition take place. They will break down into nutrient-rich organic matter with a PH value of 7.0.

What are Pioneera pots Qualifications and Specifications?

Designed to last up to five years outdoors, and up to twice as long indoors

Suitable for all climates, environments and applications where plastic, clay or wooden containers are used

Resistant to freezing and thawing damage

Created with excellent heat insulating characteristics that result in outstanding root development and overall plant performance

Intended to be used above ground only

Effective at promoting drainage and ensuring proper air movement

A leading product in the sustainable gardening movement

Why Use Pioneera Sustainable Pots?

Made from renewable and sustainable plant by-products, pots are the environmentally friendly alternative to plastic pots. The tests have shown that plants grow better in Pioneera’s pot than in traditional plastic pots due to their insulating design, which leads to thriving, healthy plants. Pioneera pots contain no wood or petroleum ingredients and do not deplete natural or edible resources. When used outdoors, Pioneera pots will last at least five years and even longer when used indoors. They are intended for use above the ground, and show no damage when exposed to freezing or thawing conditions.

What is Rice Husk in Rice ?

It is the outer hull of rice grain and a by-product of rice milling. It is a major agricultural waste of rice production.Due to their tough structure and huge bulk, rice husk has limited applications.
